Underfloor Heating

Underfloor heating is aesthetically pleasing and there are many types of installation to suit your budget.

Increasingly more and more homes and businesses in Cambridge are saving money and achieving increased energy efficiency with Underfloor Heating.

Underfloor heating is a type of central heating and cooling which warms your home using conduction, heat radiation and convection. The Underfloor heating system chosen can either be an electrical system or fluid flowing through pipes to heat the floor.

Electric heating elements or hydroponic piping, also known as a poured floor system or wet system, are embedded in concrete.  The heating system can be placed under a floor covering (poured floor system or dry system) or attached directly to a wood sub floor, known as a sub floor system or dry system.

Underfloor heating is more efficient than radiators for many reasons as it uses lower temperature water to achieve the same warmth, it enables condensing boilers to condense more frequently, the heat radiating from the floor provides more comfort at a lower air temperature and heat loss is lessened.

Be it an electric underfloor heating system or water underfloor heating, we believe at Cambs Heating the choice is up to you and we are happy to call out and carry out a free assessment of your home or business and of course the quote is free of charge.
